Château Clément Saint-Jean
ORIGIN - TERROIRSituated in the commune of Bégadan, Château Clément Saint-Jean has been run and directly managed by the Uni-Médoc winery since 1996 under the careful eye of oenologist Laurent Vaché. The vineyards cover 36 hectares of very diverse soils: half of the vines are planted in clay-limestone soils whereas the other half grow in a sandy gravel terroir.
VINIFICATION
Traditional vinification. 9 to 12 months in oak barrels.
GRAPES VARIETIES
Merlot 58%, Cabernet Sauvignon 42%
TASTING NOTES
Beautiful deep purple colour.
Pleasant nose offering empyreumatic and spicy, followed by aromas of candied fruits and mellow black berries.
The palate is very supple and fleshy.
FOOD AND WINE PAIRING
This wine makes the ideal partner for a duck breast with red cabbage, roasted game or hard cheeses.

Château Moulin de l'Abbaye
ORIGIN - TERROIRChâteau Moulin de l’Abbaye is a small 8 hectare wine domaine situated on 100% clay-limestone soils.
In 2013 the domaine was bought out by cooperative winery Uni-Médoc who now cultivate the vineyards
and have given this wine its Cru bourgeois status.
VINIFICATION
Traditional vinification in temperature controlled stainless steel vats.
GRAPES VARIETIES
Cabernet Sauvignon 60%, Merlot 21%, Malbec 19%
TASTING NOTES
Bright purple colour.
Nose disclosing a harmonious blend of fresh fruits and subtle toasty notes.
Well-balanced palate with intense notes of red berries, a smooth tannic structure and excellent length.
FOOD AND WINE PAIRING
The ideal partner for a rib of beef, braised lamb or cheeses such as Brillat Savarin.

Château Pontet Barrail
ORIGIN - TERROIRChâteau Pontet Barrail covers 17 hectares of land composed of clay-limestone and sandy-gravelly soils.
The vines have an average ge of 38 years and thrive in this terroir which allows them to reach their full potential. The family's work in the Chateau's vineyards has been rewarded with ''Cru Bourgeois'' status which is a reference point in the Médoc region.
VINIFICATION
Traditional stainless steel vats at controlled temperature
GRAPES VARIETIES
Cabernet Sauvignon 60%, Merlot 30%, Petit Verdot 6%, Cabernet franc 4%
TASTING
Garnet colour. Toasty notes, spice, figs and black fruit on the nose.
A round and distinctive palate complemented by a silky texture, complex tannins and aromas of black fruit.
The whole is refined and elegant with a long and aromatic finish.
SERVICE SUGGESTIONS
Enjoy served alongside Marengo veal, an entrecôte steak in red wine sauce, fillet of beef 'rossini' and a mature cantal cheese to finish.
